How to Play the Price Guessing Game

      1. Open today's storage unit. Every day at midnight a new unit with 5 mystery items unlocks — the same 5 items for everyone.
      2. Study the item card. You get the item's name, condition and a few telling details. That's all the intel you get, just like at a real storage auction.
      3. Place your bid. Type what you think the item is really worth in dollars. Trust your gut — bargain hunters and eBay veterans have a real edge here.
      4. See the reveal. The real price appears instantly. Within 10% is a green tag 🟩, within 25% yellow 🟨, within 50% orange 🟧, otherwise red 🟥.
      5. Finish the unit and climb the leaderboard. Each item scores up to 100 points (a perfect unit is 500). Your score goes on the global board instantly — see your rank against every bidder today. Copy your spoiler-free share card and challenge your friends to guess the price.

Want more after the daily unit? Hit “Play a Bonus Unit” for unlimited random units, or 📦 Rummage to bid a sealed unit and pull finds one by one — the haul is the point, not the bid screen.

      Price Guessing Game FAQ

What is the Price Guessing Game?

A free daily guessing game in the spirit of Wordle. Each day brings one mystery storage auction unit with 5 items. You guess the price of each item, see how close you got, and share your result — without spoiling the answers for anyone else.

      How is my score calculated?

Each item is worth up to 100 points, based on how far your bid was from the real price. Within 10% = 🟩, within 25% = 🟨, within 50% = 🟧, beyond = 🟥. The closer your bid, the more points you keep.

Is there really a new puzzle every day?

Yes — a new storage unit unlocks at midnight, and everyone around the world plays the same 5 items, so scores are directly comparable. Streaks are tracked on your device.

      Is there a leaderboard?

Yes — a global one. Everyone plays the same daily unit, and when you finish, your score is ranked against every other bidder in the world instantly. You also see the average bid other players placed on each item, so you know whether your price instincts beat the crowd. A pick a bidder name once and it sticks.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Completely free, no download. You can play anonymously without signing up, or optionally sign in with Google, GitHub or X. The game works on phones, tablets and desktops.

      What is Close Call mode?

Close Call is the second game mode: one mystery item, six guesses. After each guess the game tells you whether the real price is higher or lower and how close you are. Land within 5% of the real price to win. A new Close Call item unlocks every day.

      What is Battle Royale mode?

Battle Royale is the live multiplayer mode: continuous 10-minute rounds where every player bids on the same 5 mystery items and the scoreboard updates in real time. Finish all 5 items before the round ends to post your total.

      What is Rummage mode?

Rummage is the sealed-unit mode. You bid on a locked storage unit from a few hallway clues — no item list. Then you crack it open and pull finds one by one. Sometimes a picker offers cash before the market price is called; sell or keep, then see if you beat the lot. Your score is profit and loss against the bid.

Where do the item prices come from?

Items are typical storage-auction and secondhand-market finds, and each price reflects a realistic market value for that item's condition — the kind of number you'd see the unit actually hammer for at auction.
